Tiffany Crosby's Madison Space for Dr. H. 4/7

The picture that I took is of James Madison University Astronomy Park that is located between the Physics and Chemistry Building. The Astronomy Park is used to view the beautiful stars that fill the night sky. This area is not only important to the astronomy majors but serves an important purpose to the JMU community as well. Many JMU students use this area to lounge around between classes and soak up the warm spring sunlight. Some even use it just to relax and watch the sunset or take a look at the night sky with a significant other. The Astronomy Park was intended to be used for scientific research and enlightenment, however this is not the only way this area is actually used. I believe it is safe to say that the Astronomy Park serves a symbolic, aesthetic, and practical purpose to the JMU community. I believe that its use has most likely remained relatively constant throughout time. I will always remember the Astronomy Park at James Madison University because to me, it represents a coming together of people to enjoy the spectacular view of the landscape and atmosphere that surrounds us each and every day.
